As Afro-house and Afro-tech continue to expand beyond regional movements into a continent-wide conversation, Element House returns this July with one of Southern Africa’s most intriguing electronic exports.
Headlining the upcoming edition is Botswana’s Robotic Ofc, a DJ and producer whose work sits at the intersection of Afro-house, Afro-tech and futuristic electronic music. Known for crafting a distinctive sonic identity around the idea of a human-machine hybrid, Robotic Ofc has emerged as one of the more compelling voices within Africa’s evolving electronic music landscape.
His productions and performances have earned recognition from influential figures including Oskido and Shimza, while helping establish a sound that feels simultaneously rooted in African rhythm and pointed firmly toward the future.
Since its inception, Element House has steadily positioned itself as a platform for electronic music discovery in Lagos, connecting local audiences with artists shaping conversations across the continent. Robotic Ofc’s debut appearance at the event continues that mission, introducing Lagos audiences to an artist whose music exists somewhere between machine precision and dancefloor instinct.
The July edition promises an evening centered around Afro-house, deep house and tech house, bringing together communities connected by a shared love for electronic music and the culture surrounding it.
As African electronic music continues to evolve, artists like Robotic Ofc represent a new generation of producers building entirely new worlds from familiar foundations.
On July 3rd, Lagos gets a chance to step inside one of them.
