Following a widely celebrated debut earlier this year, Side Quests returns on June 26 for its second edition, continuing its mission of creating space for sounds that exist beyond the familiar.

Presented under the Group Therapy umbrella, Side Quests was conceived as an experimental offshoot of the collective’s broader programming; a platform dedicated to pushing the boundaries of electronic music and introducing audiences to sounds, scenes and artists they may not otherwise encounter.

For its second edition, curation duties have been handed over to Lagos-based DJ and curator Weareallchemicals, whose selections and sets have become synonymous with adventurous programming and a deep commitment to underground electronic culture.

The lineup reflects that ethos.

Headlining the night is Kampala’s Kampire, one of East Africa’s most celebrated selectors and a core member of the influential Nyege Nyege collective. Known for her bass-heavy sets and fearless approach to genre, Kampire has become a global ambassador for East African club culture, bringing Ugandan sounds to dancefloors around the world. Side Quests Vol. 2 marks her Lagos debut.

Joining her is Italo-Nigerian DJ Evissimax, whose genre-defying sets weave together ghetto tech, rap, afrobeats, hard groove, Jersey club and techno into a distinctly personal sound. Also returning to the lineup are some of the most exciting names shaping Lagos’ electronic scene, including Aniko, Earthsurfing, Sicag Lauren, Momentum & Warhero, alongside curator Weareallchemicals.

The first edition of Side Quests proved that there is an appetite for deeper exploration within Lagos nightlife. Rather than relying on familiarity, the platform embraces discovery, creating an environment where curiosity takes precedence and audiences are encouraged to engage with electronic music in new ways.

As electronic music communities continue to grow across the continent, Side Quests exists as a meeting point between scenes, cultures and sonic traditions; a place where experimentation is welcomed and where some of the most exciting conversations in club culture can take place on the dancefloor.
